Christmastide: Day 7

I think my fondest memories of Christmas and Wintertime are when, late at night I could look out on the street-corner from the big window in the front. I loved watching the street-lamp on snowy-nights because as the snow passed through the lamp-light each flake glowed. Then they would wink out of sight and fade into the darkness again.

There's just something so... special about that little display. It was calming and at the same time exciting. The flakes just, gently drifting down waiting to be trampled in the morning or packed into snowballs.

I miss having street-lamps near my house. It's just not the same with the porch-lights.
